Dr. James Gray

Board-Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon

Dr. James A. Gray is a Southampton County native from Boykins, Virginia. He attended Southampton High School in Courtland, Virginia. He later continued his education at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, where he earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry. He then went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry.

Dr. Gray furthered his education by completing a residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Harlem Hospital, in affiliation with Columbia University in Manhattan, New York.

He then completed a surgical fellowship in orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery at the Posnick Center for Facial Plastic Surgery in Chevy Chase, Maryland. During this time, he trained under world-renowned surgeon Dr. Jeffrey C. Posnick and held clinical privileges at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC.

Dr. Gray is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He practices a broad range of oral surgery procedures including dental alveolar surgery, wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, bone grafting, corrective jaw surgery, facial trauma, and IV sedation.

Dr. Gray is in private practice in Chesapeake, Virginia where he is committed to providing his patients with exceptional and compassionate surgical care. He treats his patients like family, listens to their individual dental related needs and provides a patient-centered approach to deliver a refined, high-quality surgical experience.

He is regularly peer-nominated as one of Virginia’s top oral surgeons and has been featured in Coastal Virginia Magazine. He has been featured on the Hampton Roads Show and served as a guest panelist for a national dental organization leadership summit. He has been published in peer-reviewed in the national journal of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (JOMS).

In his free time, he enjoys traveling, music, good cuisine, working out, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Ross Rosenblatt

Endodontist

Dr. Ross Rosenblatt completed his undergraduate degree in Healthcare Studies at the University of Richmond, in Richmond VA, and his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA.

Upon graduating dental school, Dr. Rosenblatt completed his residency in endodontics across town at Temple University in Philadelphia. Since graduating, he has completed the rigorous three-part examination through the American Board of Endodontics to achieve board certification. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, and a member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Endodontics.

Dr. Rosenblatt’s goal is to provide high quality care in a comfortable manner utilizing scientific-based treatment decisions and prioritizing patient education. When not treating patients Dr. Rosenblatt enjoys working out, listening to music, being an amateur foodie, and watching sports.
